RIO - Twenty-eight medical doctors from the Hospital do Andaraí have resigned because of poor working conditions at the unit in the Northern Zone of Rio. Requests for dismissal have been sent to the hospital, the Public Defender's Office, the Regional Council of Medicine and also to the Federal Public Ministry. In the document, doctors criticize the lack of remedies and claim that the lack of commitment of the hospital management was evident after the dismissal of temporary doctors, nursing technicians and other employees. Besides the emptying of the unit, the lack of inputs to work and problems with the direction of the unit also motivated the stampede. The DGH also reports that HFA has increased emergency consultations and consultations by 17% and surgeries by only 13% in the first quarter of this year. The stock of HFA drugs is stocked, including cancer drugs, which are being replaced in part by the National Cancer Institute (INCA) treatment protocol.
